A woman was charged Thursday morning with voluntary manslaughter in Roanoke Rapids.
At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, detectives with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office arrested another suspect in the shooting death of Kelvin Richardson.
Capt. Jamie Hardy with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said a shooting occurred Friday afternoon in the 300 block of Monroe Street. The shooting left one juvenile injured, who was taken to Greenville for treatment. The suspect is still at large. The incident is still under investigation…
UPDATE: All suspects have been apprehended. The remaining suspects were arrested last night and this morning, according to Chief Bobby Martin.
At about 9:34 p.m. Thursday, 44-year-old Keith Morris Hyman of Windsor was located and arrested near a residence in Windsor.
At about 8 a.m., Tuesday, authorities located Tammi Sutton, of Roanoke Rapids, “safe and well,” according to a press release from the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday April 17, at around 7:30 p.m., family members reported Tammi Sutton, 46, of Roanoke Rapids missing to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office.
A Roanoke Rapids man was sentenced Friday to 366 months in prison for interference with commerce by robbery, discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of N.C.
Detectives from the Roanoke Rapids Police Department contacted deputies following a vehicle stop conducted for speeding at about 1 a.m. Monday by Officer C. Roberts.
