From the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office:
On Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at around 3:30 p.m., Lt. E. Carroll and Lt. J. Bozard of the Halifax County Sheriff’s office responded to a vehicle stop that was conducted by Trooper T.D. Forsht with the N.C. Highway Patrol.
During the stop, Bozard deployed K-9 Feno, which indicated a positive alert for narcotics. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of five pounds of marijuana.
Naeem Maurice Ezell, 42, of Woodland, was arrested and charged with PWISD Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana and Maintain a vehicle to store a controlled substance. Ezell was placed in the Halifax County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond with a Oct. 21 court date pending.
