HALIFAX — Halifax County Health Department, Drugco Pharmacy and Rural Health Group are taking first dose appointments by online registration only for the following groups:

Group 1 includes:

• Health care workers caring for and working directly with patients with COVID-19, including staff responsible for cleaning and maintenance in those areas

• Health care workers administering the vaccine

• Long-term care staff and residents — people in skilled nursing facilities and in adult, family and group homes.

Group 2 includes:

• Anyone 65 years and older, regardless of health status or living situation

Group 3A:

• School employees and child care workers

Halifax County Health Department will offer first dose appointments by online registration only for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Halifax Community College in Weldon, Building 700. You must enter HCC via the Country Club Road entrance. Please follow the signs posted to direct you to the Building 700. Please be advised that anyone who has a scheduled appointment will receive a call from the health department to pre-register you for your vaccine. Drugco Pharmacy will offer first dose appointments by online registration only for Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3A. To schedule a first dose appointment, visit bit.ly/2ZKJmJW.

Rural Health Group will offer first dose appointments by online registration only for Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3A. To schedule a first dose appointment at the Franklinton Center at Bricks, 281 Bricks Lane, Whitakers, NC 27891 on March 5, visit bit.ly/37IJPRg.
