Looking Back

This photo originally appeared in The Herald on Jan. 15, 2009, and was submitted by David King. Pictured is the starting five for the 1960 Roanoke Rapids High School basketball team: Arthur Davis, left, Johnny Daughtry, Bill Dole, Tommy King and Steve Taylor. The team averaged more than 80 points per game for the season and scored over 100 points on five separate occasions. The team was coached by Wimpy Johnson and Don Curtis. The Looking Back featured photo is published in the Thursday/Friday edition of The Herald.
