RALEIGH — Ernest Lee “Pee Wee” Fulghum Jr., 86, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Pee Wee was born in Raleigh, to the late Ernest Lee and Etta Wood Fulghum. He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Sondra Y. Fulghum; daughter, Victoria M. Miller; sister, Janie F. Dennis; and brothers, T.W. Fulghum, Bill Fulghum and Howard Fulghum.

Pee Wee is survived by his daughter, Tracy F. Vincent (Steve); son, Michael Milone (Bonnie); sisters, Peggy F. Wood, Betsy F. Williams and Judy F. Gay; brother, Larry Fulghum; seven grandchildren, Rose, Franco, Matthew, Nicholas, Betsey, Ethan and Andrew; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends, especially Tony Coates.

Pee Wee served our country for 20 years in the United States Air Force in which he retired. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, watching sports, especially baseball, and he loved spending time with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at Longview Baptist Church in Raleigh. Visitation will immediately follow in the fellowship hall. At other times you can visit at the home of Steve and Tracy to give condolences, 507 Arbutus Drive West, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
