FAYETTEVILLE — Ms. Lisa Charisse Sledge House, 55, of Fayetteville, departed this life on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, Georgia.
Lisa, a daughter of Wavely and Katrina Wilkins Sledge, was born Aug. 22, 1966, in Cherry Point.
She is survived by her parents, Wavely and Katrina Sledge of Fayetteville; her children, Teraye (Clifford) Tatum and Chazna Sledge of Fayetteville, Spc. Darron House, U.S. Army, Savannah, Georgia, and Alexander House of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lundyn Tatum, Shyah Sledge and Aviona Sledge of Fayetteville; siblings, Eric Sledge (Gaile) of Wake Forest and Bridgette Sledge of Elkridge, Maryland; nieces and nephew, Davette (Jerrel) Harrison of Burlington, Brijae Sledge of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Tyranny Royster of Elkridge and Erickson Sledge of Wake Forest; uncles and aunts, David Sledge, Zebulon (Darlene) Sledge, Phyllis (Thomas) Lennon and Iona Janet Lee, all of Roanoke Rapids, William “Bill” (Marie) Wilkins of Annapolis, Maryland, Melvin (Beulah) Wilkins of Portsmouth, Virginia, Gilbert Wilkins of Harlem, New York, and Lula King of Manhattan, New York; great-aunts, Cassie (Leroy) Lashley of Roanoke Rapids and Edith Inez Witherspoon of Waldorf, Maryland; the Sledge and Wilkins aunts and uncles; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 18 from the Memorial Chapel of Cofield Mortuary in Weldon, which is handling the arrangements, with the Rev. Joseph L. Battle officiating.
