Former Northwest Collegiate and Technical Academy sharpshooter Joshua Norman recently wrapped a solid freshman campaign at Lenoir Community College, where he paced the team in points per game.

KINSTON — Joshua Norman, who enjoyed a stellar high school career as a three-point specialist for Northwest Collegiate and Technical Academy, recently completed his first year at Lenoir Community College, where he paced the team in points per game.

Over 12 contests ending April 3, the 6-foot-4 wing averaged 13.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per night for the Lancers, who compete on the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II landscape as Region X members.

Norman debuted in fine form on Feb. 6, scoring 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting against Guilford Tech, then reached double-figures in the team’s next seven games — highlighted by a 26-point outburst on Feb. 28 at Patrick Henry, when the sniper canned six triples.

On the season, No. 4 registered 42-83-34 shooting splits (field goal, free-throw and three-point percentage), and finished 21st amongst all NJCAA D-II players with respect to free-throw percentage.
