Tigers roll, stay unblemished
GASTON — Adin Moran went 2 for 3 with four RBIs on Thursday to lead Wilson Prep by Tar Roanoke 1A host KIPP ENC, 22-1.
Justin Ellison earned the mound win for the Tigers (4-0, 3-0 TRAC), allowing one run while striking out 15.
WPA returns to the office on Tuesday versus Weldon, while KIPP (0-1, 0-1 TRAC) travels to Rocky Mount Prep.
Vikings post lopsided win
LITTLETON — Northwest Collegiate and Technical Academy handled Tar Roanoke 1A guest Rocky Mount Prep on Thursday, 26-9, for its first win of the spring.
Both teams return to work on Tuesday — the Vikings (1-1-1, 1-1-1 TRAC) versus North Edgecombe, and the Jaguars (0-3, 0-3 TRAC) against KIPP ENC.

Williams, Summerlin lead RRHS rout of Rocky Mount
ROCKY MOUNT — Kalissa Williams and Kaysie Summerlin combined for eight hits on Thursday as Roanoke Rapids deconstructed Big East 2A/3A neighbor Rocky Mount, 24-0.
The Jackets now stand 5-1 (3-1 Big East) this season.
Also contributing to the Buzz City runout were Madison Jones (four hits), Sue Odom (three hits), Kaylee Collier (three hits) and Alayna Davis, who reached twice.
Rounding out the road trip was freshman Kyla Odom, who recorded her first two base knocks of the season.
Williams also earned the win, fanning four in five innings.
Vikings cruise to non-conference triumph
WILSON — Halifax Academy plated runs in bunches on Thursday, leading to a 13-2 triumph over Wilson Christian Academy.
The Vikings (4-1) hit the road this weekend for a two-game tournament set in Virginia, while the Chargers (2-3) hosted Wake Christian Academy on Friday.
